My Week in Pictures 02.18.26

A few pictures and highlights I’ve captured over the past week. Sometimes life goes by way too quickly, and then you look up, and it’s been months, so these give me a chance to slow down a little and appreciate the days for what they are.

valentine’s weekend

We’re coming off of Valentine’s weekend, which, for me and T, feels just like our normal date nights - with an excuse to go outside of the 10 restaurants that we always have on rotation. (What can I say, we love what we love!) The newest restaurant we tried: Whiskey Cake (which, ok, ok, we’ve done for brunch before - but never for dinner!) and it was so yum, and so cozy, and not crowded, which is very important for us and our vday vibes.

For brunch, we ended up actually going to one of our favorites (sue us), and they sat us in our favorite corner. When I looked up, I noticed the prettiest wallpaper on the ceiling. Stripes and deep colors have been speaking to me lately, and I’ve been trying to figure out how to incorporate them into our home while keeping our Coastal California vibe that I do so dearly still love. So, this was something I could definitely appreciate.

And to wrap up our Valentine’s adventure, we went to West Elm, where I picked up a couple of pillows. Someone rescue me from this color palette, because I’m convinced it’s the one thing that looks great in our home, but I am so determined to incorporate other colors - green! blue! something!

THE COTTAGE GROCERY

President’s Day was on Monday, and my sister came down so we could hang and have girl time in the city. The Cottage Grocery had been on my list ever since I (and I’m sure half of Houston) discovered it on TikTok, and I was so pleased we got to swing by. It’s actually just as cute as I imagined it to be, a little local grocery store + coffee shop duo, with house-made syrups, and cute lattes that actually make me want to come back pronto. Thankfully, it was the most gorgeous afternoon - truly what you could dream of as a Houstonian: blue skies, golden sun, a cool breeze in the air, and no rain clouds in sight.

My sister and I only meant to pop in, check it out, grab an iced latte, and head elsewhere - but we ended up finding a cute sunlit corner and parked ourselves at that marble bistro table for hours - laughing, catching up, and doing what sisters do best! A well-spent afternoon.

GALENTINES

I truly believe February is for celebrating love all month long, which of course include Galentines! Hosted a mini one in my apartment with some friends. Brunch for dinner, Italian lemonade mocktails, and flower bouquet making. What more could a girl need?

pilates

Another week, another flow - I've been loving my studio (still!). I am truly trying to work on pilates as a practice, which means being super intentional with my movements and breathing. One of my instructors told me she could tell I was getting stronger and more confident in certain areas, so that’s a win!

HOME UPDATES

A few fun home updates! Restyling my dining room sideboard for early spring and summer - found these stems at HomeGoods and those pears are so cutesy. I love the pop of color and the woven lamp here (don’t mind that there are two lamps), so I think I will be on the hunt for a woven vase to replace here instead!

I also got a brand new floor lamp for the living room, and she is divine.
