Lately, I've been on a personal mission to elevate my style and turn my blah wardrobe into something more put-together. And what better time to do a complete wardrobe overhaul then when we're all stuck inside? :-)

At first, I was extremely overwhelmed and didn’t know where to start.

I thought that in order for me to get that effortlessly-styled-look that my favorite style icons were wearing, I’d need a complete new wardrobe which would cost me a whole lot of money. But after doing some digging, I learned that’s not the case!

In actuality, less can be more and it’s possible to achieve a put-together and stylish wardrobe just by buying quality basics!

That being said, I recently did some online shopping at H&M in their new Spring collection, and loved the basics I picked up. I thought it would be fun to share with you guys what I bought and show you how to style these classic pieces for work.

If you haven’t read my last post: Get Productive with Me: How to Style H&M’s Spring Collection, then make sure to read do that first for the full story of my wardrobe overhaul!

Styling Spring Basics for Work (or to WFH)

Three Ways to Save Money on Your h&m Purchase

  1. Wait for online deals — H&M constantly has online deals running, 20% or 25% off. If you can, try to wait until those deals hit before purchasing! But be careful, because things sell out fast.

  2. Retail Me Not + Other Coupon Sites — these sites curate people’s coupon codes and provide the best ones. This is a hit or miss, and sometimes works for me - but most of the time doesn’t.

  3. Use Honey — Honey is a Google Chrome extension that I downloaded in college that has literally saved me $100s of dollars. It is so good! When activated, it scans your shopping carts on it’s partner sites and will provide you any active coupon codes to get money off! With Honey, I was able to save over $150.00 on my H&M purchase. That’s HUGE! Sign up, you won’t regret it!

Majority of the outfits I styled could work both for the office and for a night out. I love a good transitional look that can take me from my desk to a fun happy hour, but sometimes it’s hard finding a balance between the two. But, I think all of these options would work!

And of course, I know we can’t actually wear any of these outfits right now (bc quarantine), but if we’re going to be honest, some of these pieces are comfy enough that you can def use them to WFH (or for that important Zoom meeting).

Now let’s get to the fun stuff – all of the items in the video are linked down below!
